This Warranty Policy applies to eligible products purchased directly from AK7. It covers warranty claims only. Change-of-mind returns, order cancellations and refunds are governed separately by the AK7 Return and Refund Policy.
The warranty supplied with a product depends on its model, condition and the warranty level offered at the time of sale. The applicable coverage must be stated on the product listing, sales invoice, warranty card or another written sales record.
A new product may be sold with one of the following limited warranty levels:
30-day motor and battery warranty
3-month motor and battery warranty
6-month motor and battery warranty
12-month motor and battery warranty
Unless AK7 expressly confirms otherwise in writing, these warranties cover the motor and battery only. Customers should not assume that a particular warranty period applies if it is not recorded in writing at the time of purchase.
The warranty period begins on the purchase date or confirmed delivery date, whichever is later.
Used and second-hand products are sold according to their stated condition and the warranty status recorded on the invoice or sales record. A used product will normally be sold under one of the following terms:
No commercial warranty: The product is sold in its inspected condition, with known issues disclosed where applicable.
7-day battery-only warranty: The battery is covered for a functional fault reported within seven calendar days of purchase. No other component is covered unless AK7 confirms otherwise in writing.
Normal battery range and capacity vary according to battery age and condition, rider weight, speed, terrain, tyre pressure, temperature and riding style. Reduced range alone does not establish a battery fault unless AK7’s inspection confirms a functional defect.
Customers are encouraged to inspect and test used products before purchase. A condition or fault clearly disclosed before sale is not covered as an undisclosed defect.
The limited warranty covers a manufacturing or functional fault in a covered motor or battery that arises during the stated warranty period under normal use and in accordance with the product instructions.
All claims require inspection and approval by AK7. If a claim is accepted, AK7’s standard first remedy is to repair the covered component without charging for the approved warranty repair.
Unless AK7 expressly confirms otherwise in writing, the limited warranty does not cover:
Controllers, displays, throttles, chargers, wiring, switches, lights, horns or accessories
Tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, brake discs, chains, belts, sprockets, bearings and other wear-and-tear parts
Cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, paint, stickers, seats, body panels or plastics
Normal battery ageing, gradual loss of capacity or reduced range caused by use, storage, temperature or charging habits
Punctures, wheel damage, brake adjustment, loose fasteners or routine servicing
Damage caused by an accident, collision, impact, water, moisture, sand, fire, overheating, corrosion, neglect or improper storage
Damage caused by overloading, racing, stunts, commercial use or use outside the product’s intended purpose
Damage caused by using an incorrect charger, incorrect voltage, unsuitable replacement parts or improper charging
Products that have been opened, modified, rewired, speed-unlocked, reprogrammed or repaired by an unauthorised person
Faults caused by changes to controller settings, firmware, Bluetooth settings or other performance settings
Damage or faults caused by failure to follow operating, charging, maintenance or safety instructions
Any condition or fault disclosed and accepted before the sale of a used product
To request a warranty inspection, the customer must:
Contact AK7 as soon as the fault is noticed.
Provide the original invoice or other acceptable proof of purchase.
Provide photographs or videos of the issue when requested.
Stop using the product if continued use could worsen the fault or create a safety risk.
Bring or arrange delivery of the complete product to the AK7 workshop in Sharjah unless AK7 agrees otherwise.
AK7 may inspect and test the product, battery, charger and related components to determine the cause of the fault. Accepting a product for inspection or testing does not mean that the warranty claim has been approved.
If inspection shows that the issue is not covered, AK7 may provide a quotation for parts and labour. Inspection, transport, collection and delivery charges may apply to rejected or non-warranty claims and will be communicated to the customer.
For an accepted warranty claim, AK7’s standard remedy is repair. Reporting a fault does not automatically qualify the customer for a refund or complete-product replacement.
AK7 does not voluntarily provide a refund or complete-product replacement when the covered fault can be properly repaired. Nothing in this policy excludes any repair, replacement, refund or other remedy that AK7 is legally required to provide under applicable UAE law, including where a qualifying defect cannot be repaired or repeatedly fails after repair.
Repairs are subject to technician availability and the availability of suitable spare parts. AK7 will aim to complete an approved repair within a reasonable time and will inform the customer if a required part must be ordered.
AK7 may use a new, refurbished or functionally equivalent replacement component where appropriate and legally permitted. Any replacement component becomes part of the repaired product.
Repair or replacement of a covered component does not restart or extend the original warranty period unless AK7 confirms otherwise in writing or applicable UAE law requires it.
Unless AK7 agrees otherwise or applicable law requires AK7 to bear the cost, the customer is responsible for safely transporting the product to and from the AK7 workshop for inspection and repair.
AK7 is not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable packing, loading or transport arranged by the customer or an independent carrier.
Customers must use each product only for its intended purpose and follow all operating, charging, maintenance, age, weight, protective-equipment and location restrictions.
Where a product is intended only for private-property or off-road use, it must not be used on public roads or in any place where its use is prohibited. The customer must stop using a product immediately if a fault may create a safety risk or cause further damage.
This policy describes AK7’s commercial warranty. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any non-excludable rights or remedies available under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
If any part of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory requirement will apply.
